Mermicorns

These are a couple of quick doodles that I drew last week whilst watching the Mermicorns swimming by at St David’s Head in Pembrokeshire. Clearly these initial drawings don’t do them just at all but I can confirm that these beautiful creatures DO exist.

Apparently, a unicorn farmer from Cardigan created Mermicorns by accident after feeding some of his herd on some military grade fish food. They are not to be mistaken for seahorses; these beasts might glisten like crystalline rainbows as they scythe through the ocean waves but they are almost twice the size of a man and really quite ferocious.
